Hi there! My name is Claire, and thank you so much for being here! There are many paths you could’ve taken to get here — maybe you found me on Instagram. Maybe you were looking for fitness advice and stumbled on my site. Maybe your friend or family member texted you a link to my page. Whatever it was, you’re here now, and I think it was for a reason.

My fitness journey started years ago. I grew up playing soccer, basketball and track and went on to compete as a hurdler and heptathlete for the University of Oregon. Even though I no longer participate in sports, I am still drawn to the incredible moments where sheer human will and desire to overcome the odds. For me, a sport does not end with the final buzzer of the clock or when crossing the finish line. Sports persist inside of me as the memories and emotions I feel get translated into a generalized conception of myself.

Unfortunately, my collegiate track career ended because the sport that had once defined me was beginning to ruin me. My happiness was dwindling and I eventually developed an eating disorder. After about a year of rediscovering myself again, I found that my passion was not for competing in sports, but for competing to be my best physical and mental self! I had an epiphany, and at that exact moment, I knew that I was going to help others achieve their best physical and mental selves, too! When I was a senior in college, I began to use social media to showcase my healthy lifestyle and to motivate others to work out, eat cleaner and ultimately live happier lives. Eventually, I turned my passion for health and fitness into my full-time career.

I have developed fitness guides and nutrition plans to help you reach your goals because I truly believe that when we commit to our health, we take control of every other aspect of our lives. A Little More About CPT Fitness…

CPT stands for many things —  ironically enough, both my initials and Certified Personal Trainer. But on top of that, it’s an abbreviation for “Captain,” which is something that really resonated with me when I made the connection.

I always strived to be the captain of my sports teams because I loved being a strong and positive example for my teammates. I never let them down, and I will carry that mentality in helping you achieve your personal goals, too.

What You Can Expect

If you want to regularly keep up with my blog, I want to let you know what you can expect moving forward. From some of my favorite nutrient-filled recipes to workouts of the month, I hope my blog can be a go-to resource for you whenever you’re looking for fitness information.

Again, I feel so lucky that I get to help others achieve their dream bodies and reach their peak levels of fitness. I know that it takes a lot to change and adapt to a healthy lifestyle, which is why I’ve made it as easy as possible with my CPT Fitness Guides and Fit Fuel Guide.

These guides are what I personally believe will help kickstart your fitness journey. They include yummy recipes, grocery lists, nutrition tips and hacks, strength and cardio plans and more!

My mission is to help you get rid of the little voice in the back of your head telling you, “I can’t.” My mission is to help you not only build muscle, but also build confidence. My mission is to change the world in any way that I can — CPT Fitness being a small but effective start.
